I press left modifier keys, primarily Ctrl, with the heel of my hand. Anyone who notices me do this calls me an abomination, but it just seems more efficient to me.

I think I hold WASD the same way no matter what I’m doing, but I’ve never examined it before.

Well, things I have used it for…

Lean left/right in FPS games Toggle scope in LfD2 Push to talk. Copy/paste Accent mark character

You can bind pretty much any key, combo, or hotkey to basic foot switches, better software will let you do macros as well. It’s a huge (literal sometimes) game changer.

Ah, well, fair enough. I guess I’m satisfied with the basic controls in most games I play and I know a lot of keyboard shortcuts for the OS. Though a foot switch might be more efficient than my approach, it would probably take me longer to adjust and become accustomed to it than the time it would save.

It’s great that it works for you, though! Thank you for the suggestion and follow-up.

Well my ring finger is on w, pinky for A and Shift. I always rebind Ctrl and usually crouch with C.

I think heel of hand is better because I can’t sprint and move left at the same time lol

Apparently, l put my index finger on D with my ring finger on A. My middle finger moves between W and S l. My pinky rests on Shift and the heel of my hand is ready to go to Ctrl.

That said, I tested this on a laptop. I’m not sure my finger layout is the same on my desktop.
