Stranger things have happened in the world of promotion

EDIT: I don’t understand the downvotes. Is this Amber Heard/Blake Lively hate, conspiracy theory hate, or something else? How am I coming across, what are you hearing?

Surely after two+ elections and a number of “wag the dog”-like situations you can’t think such manipulation is dismissable? The Blake Lively case is well-documentated.

I’m genuinely confused. This strategy seems like a great idea, and rhe perfect way to build an audience for a bad, disappointing movie. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Barbinheimer phenomenon was manufactured. Neither movie is as exciting as they seemed at the time.

Movie execs paying hundreds of different people to cause a ruckus in various theatres, and not a single person has come out to say theyre being paid to do it?

I don’t think so. Simplest answer - some people are legitimately excited

We’ve seen from Amber Heard and Blake Lively that moving public opinion isn’t done that way. A few intentional posts in the right place can work wonders.

Prior to that. Look up what happened to Blake Lively. Once the ball is rolling it has a life of its own.
