Hnm that definitely applies to AAA games, although I feel like the power dynamics are just changing. We see more and more indie smash hits, compared to AAA hits imo
Yeah for sure, I’ve been fairly focussed on indies the last 5-7 years and only jump on AAA after it’s released and reviews are in/on special.
I believe there’s only so large a human run corporation can be before it turns into an unmanageable mess and quality/focus of the product suffers, and most AAA are well past that point.
Indies are the new small-medium sized fun Devs.
