I just like how mature the gaming mouse market has gotten, and I do not buy mice that require their manufacturer driver/ software.

Glorious, Zowie, and now Finalmouse (I bought into the hype but I genuinely do like the mouse I got) have all served me well and don’t require any proprietary software.

I already had a Razer mouse before Linux so I’m grateful for this project. However in the future I do want a mouse that either uses a web UI for software or just firmware.

Zeromouse by Optimum Tech uses Finale-Mouse software

I also came across this company called Vaxee which makes normal looking mice with high performance hardware and it’s firmware based adjustments

The Glorious Model I2 is on my wishlist to try sometime! Do you think the quality is the same or better/worse than the major brands? I’ve seen a fair number of neutral and negative reviews that are more well thought out than the typical disgruntled customer 1 star rants, so it’s tough to get a good read on it.

I haven’t tried their wireless mice, only wired. I would say their quality is on par with the good mice that I have tried. I’ve used a few Razer mice, SteelSeries, Logitech, Zowie, and Finalmouse now. It is one of the 3 I haven’t had issues with (I will never buy another Razer or SteelSeries mouse), and only upgraded because I wanted wireless. I bought my Glorious maybe 5-6 years ago. I wholeheartedly recommend Glorious as I think it hits a perfect value unless things have changed with their wireless variants or with time.

Good to know, thanks! I’ve been very happy with Logitech over the years, but I’m thinking of trying some other brands just to see if I’m missing anything.
