The great molasses flood of 1919. Killed 21 people and the streets of Boston smelled of molasses for years after, yet it’s never taught in our history books.

There’s a bunch in the Simpsons, but my favorite is probably them trashing Arby’s. I always thought marketing didn’t work on me until I started watching the Simpsons and mysteriously stopped liking Arby’s.

Yeah, I never learned about the great molasses flood in high school. You’d think stuff like that would be taught.
