I’m kinda the opposite, haha! It’s twenty years old now but back then I got my hands on the Beautiful Voices albums and I discovered some fantastic female vocalists (and a few I already loved). These days my most listened to band is without a doubt Band Maid, and my latest discovery is Castle Rat… It’s not the fact it’s a woman singing, per se, it’s more something to do with lyricism and the contrast with the metal sound. Just like Serj Tankian’s operatic singing vs the mad sound of SoaD, if you will.
